Abstract : Benomyl sprays, which are effective against yellow spot of sugarcane when applied frequently, were applied to a susceptible variety harvested at different dates to assess the effect of the disease. The sucrose content of canes in untreated plots was reduced most in plots harvested early while cane yield was effected in the plots harvested late.
