Abstract : The species composition of field populations of sugarcane armyworms was studied. Six species namely, Mythimna pseudoloreyi, M. loreyi, M. insulicola, M. phaea, M. tincta, and M. pyrausta were recorded. The first-named represented more than 76 per cent of the moths reared from field-collected larvae.
